Pintech takes the technology commonly used in the electronic drum market today and puts their own spin to it- all the while adding innovations and keeping the price within reach. Three electronic kits are offered, starting with...
Spirit USA
The entry level Spirit USA electronic drum set has mesh drum heads on the toms and snare.
This feature is similar to Hart Dynamics' Prodigy kit expect that Pintech uses a triple-flanged hoop over the head and mounts it to an open base. This setup is called their "concert cast" drum.
The concert cast is constructed with a cast aluminum shell for the tension rods to bolt into. Mounts secure the drum to a rack by means of "L" rods. For the Spirit USA kit, each concert cast pad has only one trigger for the toms and snare.
A drum module will read the stick attack no matter where you strike the head, you just won't get the same dynamics found in a double or triple triggered drum. Several major bonuses of the mesh drum head include good stick response, elimination of stress on joints, and virtually no sound.
The Spirit USA kit has a kick drum setup that is very different than any other entry level kits'. Pintech calls it the ErgoKik, which has an inverted beater.
Like all other kick drum devices offered on electric kits, YOU have to supply the pedal. But the way the ErgoKik makes use of your pedal's mechanics is quite unique. Given that an acoustic bass drum is so bulky to move and takes up a lot of room, this little device is very appealing. Only want an ErgoKik? Here's the place to go
!
Another feature offered on the Spirit USA kit that is unique from other electronic kits at this price point is the hi hat. Rather than using a gum rubber pad, Pintech uses one of their 10" cymbals and controls it with a remote foot trigger. Although you don't have bottom cymbal and moving top, there's something about keeping the design close to an acoustic setup that is attractive.
The Alesis DM5 electronic drum module is promoted as a good "brain" to use for this kit. This module is simple to use and has a lot of great sounds. You can learn more about the DM5 and other Electronic Drum Modules Here. For current pricing on the Spirit USA kit, go here.
Studio Elite
Pintech's mid-level Studio Elite kit continues to use the single trigger concert cast pads for toms, but adds a second trigger for the snare to increase dynamics. A concert cast drum replaces the Ergokik for the bass drum.
Pintech removes the 10" cymbal used for the hi hat and replaces it with a gum rubber pad. I'm scratching my head on this one. Maybe they know something we don't?
The crash and ride cymbals are replaced by Pintech high quality Zenbal. These babies have two triggers and are chokeable for a natural response. Features of the Zenbals and other electronic cymbals are discussed here. The most recent pricing for the Studio Elite can be found here.
Tour Elite Z
Pintech's top model is a considerable step up price with only moderate increases in features. BUT, the price-point for the Tour Elite Z is comparable to the mid-range models offered by other companies.

Another tom is added to this kit making it a 6-piece drum set and another zenbal is added.
A nice upgrade is the 14" stand alone snare that has dual triggers.
Finally you'll notice a larger rack than what is used for the Studio Elite. The rack will handle alot of expansion or repositioning of drums and cymbals to get the right feel.
On a final note, you can use any electronic drum module with the Pintech kits discussed here. Just note that Studio Elite and Tour Elite Z will make better use of more complex modules with their zenbals and dual triggered snare. Find out the latest pricing on this kit
