The Drummer Behind It All

First of all, I would like to extend my warmest thanks for visiting DrumJunction.com! Here's some background info on what this site is all about...

About Me

My name is Michael Pressley, and DrumJunction.com is my way of sharing my lifelong passion.

After years of playing by ear and doing the best I could with sticking, I had the opportunity to play in grade school bands. There I learned the rudiments, proper stick control, and dynamics while marching and playing in a concert setting (similar to orchestra without stringed instruments).

A new world was opened to me as I began applying these same principals to a drum kit. I have come to realize that drumming goes way beyond just laying down a good groove.

Playing the drums and percussion is an artform that requires mastery of certain skills.

I am by no means a master, but I continually strive to learn and grow. Which again, is why I created DrumJunction.com.

About This Site

My goal is that you take away something from this site that will improve your knowledge of drum equipment, playing, and enhance your desire to become an ever better drummer.

As I build this website, I will be adding features geared to expose you to drum lessons (both online and in-person), tips and techniques, playing styles, and all types of drumming equipment to expand your knowledge beyond the standard acoustic drum set...

I would love to hear from you. Whether you have drum-related questions, comments or suggestions about this site, or just want to say hi, don't be a stranger! Contact Me Here.
